Mother Teresa

She is a figure that I respect.
She was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on August 26, 1910. At the age of 12, she heard God's calling. She gave up her youth to serve Him since then. On May 24, 1931, she took her vow as a nun. A brave and sincere decision. Salute. Since then until her last breath, she spreaded the love of Christ. She fight for peace, for proverty, for sickness. She taught about love, about the joy of giving, about God.

She received a number of awards and distinctions during her life, including Pope John XXIII Peace Prize, The Nehru Prize, Balzan Prize, and the Templeton and Magsaysay Awards. But she receive more from HIM now. She died on September 5, 1997.

Below are her quotes on Love, Share, and God.

  • If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
  • If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.
  • In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.
  • Jesus said love one another. He didn't say love the whole world.
  • Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.
  • Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty.
  • Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.
  • Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to love God better because of them.
  • Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
  • We are all pencils in the hand of God.
  • Each one of them is Jesus in disguise.
  • We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.
  • Even the rich are hungry for love, for being cared for, for being wanted, for having someone to call their own.
  • God doesn't require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.
  • I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.
  • If we want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.
  • If we cannot love the person whom we see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
